I know how you feel! We lost electricity here as well---but only for 3 days. And luckily we have a generator---but we didn't use lights or TV or anything because we needed the generator to run the 3 sump pumps that are in our basement===which had flooded a little despite the sump pumps beacuse we had so much rain.

I'm glad you finally got your electricity back though. I definately feel your pain.

just be glad that
1. you have a house that isn't damaged. there are tons of people out here who didn't get flood insurance.
and
2. that you have the option of air conditioning. i know i'm only here another week, but c'mon. my lovely landlord won't take the 5 min. to put in the window air conditioner. so packing has been awesome. and i'm sure will only get better...
