Summary: Lex asks Clark to move in.
When Lex asked Clark if he wanted to move in with him, Clark hadn't thought about it twice. He had just said yes. Because moving in with Lex, living with Lex had been his dream, hell, since he was sixteen and he had realized he was in love with his best friend.
At eighteen, Clark had told Lex his secrets and had thought that Lex would confess him that he loved Clark. But he hadn't got such luck. He had got promise of eternal friendship and protection, but no promises of love and sex forever. But he was sure that his friend felt something for him.
He had been patient, it had taken Lex years to make a move on him. Clark was desesperated, and thinking of making a move ofhis own, when Lex finaly, on his twenty first birthday, had kissed him. A real, passionate kiss. And had told him that he loved him, that had always loved him. Clark had told Lex that he loved him two and had demanded to know why he had waited so damn long. Lex had smiled and said. "You had to be prepared".
It had taken a whole year of dating before they had gone public. And Clark, that had doubted Lex's love for him for that, trully understood Lex motives now and had swore to himself never doubt his lover's timing again.
Because, probably, if Lex had made a move on Clark before Clark had the experience of the twentyone years old, they relationship would have been a complete disaster. And if they had gone public immediately, it would have been a disaster too.
So, when Lex proposed what Clark had wanted all his life, he just said yes. They had been dating for three years, they had known each other for nine and Lex had been protecting Clark and Clark's secret for six. Besides, if Lex thought they were ready to live together, they probably were.
But Clark never thought it would be like this. Clark had thought about packing and laughing and asking for his father's truck and moving boxes together. He had thought of looking up for a new place just for them and then moving. He never thought he would come home one day to find his place completely empty, save for a card and a vase of his favorites flowers. His first thought was that he had been robbed. Then, he kicked himself mentally and thought: "What kind of thief knows your favorite flowers and leaves a card, Kent?". So, he walked to the flowers, picking up the vase and opening the card.
"The move is done. I'm waiting for you at home. Love you, Lex."
Clark sighed and sniffed. The penthouse was Lex place, not *theirs* and he doubted he could feel at home there after this. He needed to talk to Lex, now.
*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*LL*CK*
"Clark!" Lex exclaimed happily when he saw his lover walk into his home office. He frowned when he saw Clark's face. Clark did not look happy.
"Hi, Lex,"
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing," Clark andwered and bit his lip. Then took a deep breath. "No, I'm lying. This whole moving thing Lex? Is *So* wrong I don't even know where to begin with. I don't want to live here, Lex."
Lex face was falling down and his expression was locking up, so Clark had to quickly review what he had just said and shook his head. "No! Don't, Lex! Don't get me wrong!" he said quickly, before Lex shutted him out completely.
"I love you. I want you. The only thing I want to is to live with you," Clark said. Lex frowned and lifted an eyebrow.
"Clark, you just said..."
"Just, not here. In the penthouse. And not like this. Coming home and finding my stuff gone. The flowers was a nice touch, thank you. But, I'm your lover, not your employee. You can't just move my things into your penthouse with out letting me know first, Lex."
Lex flushed lightly. "But we had agreed..."
"That we would move in together. Not that I would move in with you," Clark clarified. Lex was quiet for a few moments.
"You don't want me to go and live with you in *your* apartment, Clark, do you?" he asked, horrified.
Clark laughed at his expression, but shook his head. "No, Lex. I want us to find a great place. A new place. I will even let you pay for it. But you will have to let me pay a bill or something. Something with a big garden and maybe even a pool. Something where we can have a barbecue and spend the rest of our lifes in, Lex. This penthouse, don't get me wrong, is you, all you... I want a place to be us. All us." he said and leaned in for a kiss.
Lex thought about it for a second and grabbed the phone.
"Well, I'm sure Jane can find us some houses so we can look at..." he started. Clark pushed Lex's hand gently.
"No, I want us to do it. It's going to be our home, remember. Us, Lex," he said and looked at the deep blue eyes he loved so much. Lex smiled at last and kissed Clark.
"Us, Clark."
The End.
