I believe the full moon affects people - Rory's aunt used to work at Bradford, and my mom works at a hospital. They will both attest to a higher volume in the ER, more babies being born, crazy behavior in the psych ward...

I can often tell a difference in my students at full moons...yes, the lunacy abounds and lots of extra energy! ~ Sarah B
