This morning I got into a car accident. I am okay, the other driver, as far as I know, is okay. My car is likely totaled and my amplifier, which was in my trunk, might also be totaled, but I haven't a place to plug it in and find out -- the casing around the amp itself is splintered and broken. I haven't checked out my guitar, but its case was

Sucks.
Was it a tube amp? Be carefull touching anything grounded on it if you think anything cracked. Those fuckers can shock the shit out of you with a bad ground or a bridged cap.

Was it a rear ending?

Amp: Fender Vibrolux 2x10", all tube. I plugged it in and it seemed to work okay, surprisingly. Just the casing is all chipped and splintered. I'm going to have a friend who does excellent repair check it over regardless.

I was hit on the left side way back at the rear and spun across the street. It's the first accident I've ever been in and, sadly, I think it was my fault, which makes me feel like a complete dope--that I was too cocky with my driving skills or something, although the reality really doesn't come down to that. In all honesty, I guess I'm not sure whose fault it was and part of me thinks it doesn't matter.

I have a feeling everything will find a way to work out beautifully for you. I am very saddened though to hear of this. I am not of the prayer type, I only bless the fish down the street when I am eight. Since then I cross my fingers and grit my teeth...I will grit my teeth for you.
