*g*

You have to ask "Is this a date?" or she has to say "It's a date." or you have to ask the painful question "Would you like to you know have coffee with me, like as in a date?"

Of course, you could just ask her out or over for dinner which by all laws is an automatic date *g*

I think you both have to be aware of it being a date... and if you don't know, you have to ask. "So, is this a date?"... and if you can't bring yourself to ask - it probably shouldn't be a date in the first place.

Even after almost 3 years together, Lise and I still love to go on dates. We go to our favourite italian restaurant and get take-away pasta, and take it with a picnic set and a bottle of red wine down to the bottom of the Kangaroo Point cliffs... where we sit and have dinner together and look at the city lights in the water. Its lovely.. and we always feel so close afterwards... I guess because we've taken the time to be in each others company without a TV in the background and the like.

Oh... and I know this may be a hotly disputed opinion.. but, I think a 'DATE' should be just the two of you. If there are other people with you (friends, ect - not other randoms in a movie theatre) then it is more of a 'hanging out' exercise than a date. If you can spend time alone, and not feel uncomfortable ... then more 'dates' should
