I'm sick so I need this. (i have either a cold or the flu not sure yet)

Carbon Leaf and Bloc Party. It's a bit of indie music, but mostly I just love them. Also if you've never heard of The Dresden Dolls..that's a MUST. I know you'd love them. (Or I'd think you would.)

Oh. And if you like The Shins, Modest Mouse, Pixies, etc...The Decemberists are really good too. (I saw themin concert last month and they were amazing as well.)

heh. i love the dresden dolls. i saw them live last month. they were even better live than they are on their CD. thanks for all the other suggestions :)

Pulp and the London Suede - basically the same band and I don't know if you've heard them or not, but I love them.

I have NO idea if she's appeal to you, but I love Dar Williams. She plays kind of folk-rock. If you do get interested, look up "Arrival," "Blessings," "Iowa," "Mercy of the Fallen." She writes about her problems and depression and such, always very realistically and without sugar-coating, but without negativity or anger...
