Last song I listened to in 2007: Suffer Little Children by The Smiths. Three times. I'm so harcore.

Nobody but inoubliable1 will get this: The Russian NYE program omg. Maxim Galkin is so overexposed. And I'm still loling about how Russia only has about 20 'stars' that are there every single time. Also, the NYE movie/musical thing was as awesomly cheesy as ( Read more... )

The last thing i saw before going to bed was Maxim Galkin, then in the morning i flicked on the tv and saw...Maxim Galkin! It was like WTF DOES HE NOT HAVE A HOME?
I guess if it was a replay, that makes a lot more sense -but ahhh the overexposure is insane! i totally agree about the 20 stars - The russian media circus is like a particularly inbreed episode of the OC.

Also whenever anyone mentions manchester i think of "Oh Manchester, so much to answer for..." and then i think of Joy Division, then Queer As Folk, then 24 Hr Party People. So while someone is chatting about football or bed linin, I've always got a rather odd expression because i'm thinking of morrissey, moor murders, ian curtis, rave culture and gay sex - simultaneously!

Haha, his home is in the TV sets of millions and millions of Russians all over the world. How do they not get sick of him, though? I mean, I only get to watch him once a year (and the occasional episode of 'Who wants to be a millionaire?' when I'm bored. He still hosts that, right?) and I can't stand him. It could be worse I guess and he makes fun of it himself, but for fuck's sake...get some other people in there, too. Filip Kirkorov if you must (did you see him wearing that blonde wig? so manly).
I don't think anybody here would believe if I told them that these people on Russian TV are all about 80 and were doing those kind of shows for the last 60 years at least.
Mmm moors murders. Me likes ghosts of dead children, particularly ones with a Northern accent.
