The Arts Allow Us To Discover Who We Can Be is a blog run by Swedish girls who like taking pictures of themselves, their surroundings and people in weird sunglasses. I don't understand a word of what they write, but scrolling through it is a joy. Their photos are often full of colour and always full of character, it's what photography is about, ( Read more... )

Ahh the swedes! They're all so radiant. Must be something in air there.

Oh god Control. You dont just watch that film, you experiance it. When you stepped out of the cinema did it seem the real, colourfilled world was quite alien?

You noticed the pete doherty resemblance too - I thought i had gone insane. Its the eyes, innit? They have that look. I wonder if there will Libertine biopics. Wouldnt it be amazing to direct that...perhaps in thirty years...
But yes, Control was brilliant. What was your favourite scene?

*sigh* the killers. I loved Hot Fuss so much. But have been unable to listen to anything they've done since. Their music lacks the genuine feel now. I went the full indie cirlce with this band.

I am so jealous of their glasses, they're brilliant.
Well, when I stepped out of the cinema it was dark and cold, so it felt a bit like the film itself, actually. I bet it would've been strange if I had gone into a matinee showing, or if it had been summer.
It's his face. People have already told me they look alike, but I was shocked to find how close the resemblace is. It was like...who, Pete's playing Ian Curtis, when did this happen?
I'm not sure about my favourite scene, I really liked the beginning of him as a teenager, sitting on the grass in his school uniform and taking stolen pills with his friend. What was yours?
I've always hated the Killers, they're such a cliché, period. ;D

I didn't notice the resemblance, actually, but now that you mention it I can. I'm not sure what it is though. I don't think it's his features themselves, but kind of how they relate to each other on his face.
