Okay, so what's with all the prostitution fic in the Supernatural fandom? Because it's seriously starting to bother me. I sort of understand where the cliche idea of hooker!Sam comes from, given the fact that he was attending college with - as far as we know - no real funds; but, uh, ever heard of a work-study program? This is true. I'm still scarred from reading some Harry/Draco future!fic where we learned that due to running away from home Draco had to resort to prostitution, and there were no warnings for sensitive material. Which is a shame, because otherwise it was good, but I was so mad at the author for not pointing out something that can be very upsetting for people. Remember folks, just because something doesn't set off your squick meter, doesn't mean it won't set off others.
