I dislike writing essays.

I'm fine with the reading and absorbing of research, but I don't think I ever really got how to write a good essay.  This isn't me fishing for advice. By the time you probably read this, the essay should be completed, I hope.

I have one of those to write too. I should probably start it soon. :-/

What helps me is to just write stuff. It's a lot easier to edit something horrible into something good than it is to try and get it perfect from scratch.

I got really bad marks on every essay I did, not because of the content, but because of the format. I never actually learned how to write an essay because I moved around so much and just ended up missing the classes they taught it in.

Oh, if I hadn't taken History in high school I never would have been taught how to write an essay. That was the only class where a teacher ever sat us down and walked through the process and structure with us. We had to write essays in other classes, but trial and area isn't quite the same as being deliberately taught.

I never took History either. The only thing that came close to it was Humanities, which was mostly Geography with a bit of history thrown in.

Having breakfast and a cup of tea when you're seeing the morning from the wrong side always has that special kind of feeling, doesn't it.
