"Title Town"
There's been a bunch of talk recently about how Boston now has a championship in all four major sports in less than a decade, and has anyone else ever done that?
Well, it turns out that, to begin with, there just aren't that many cities that have four major sports teams (there are 12, if you're willing to be generous).
From there, there are only six cities that have won at least one championship in all four sports: Boston, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Detroit. And you can only include Detroit and Philly if you're willing to count NFL championships pre-merger. For L.A., you have to be generous and include the Anaheim Ducks, or they're out of the running (what, the Kings?).
So, given all that, which city has done it the fastest? (Only the relevant teams are shown; many of these cities have multiple qualifying teams, but I didn't include them if they don't factor into the "fastest" span of years.)
Boston: 2005-2011 = 6 years
