NORWEGEN RULT! sozusagen

Oct 02, 2004 19:32

ich möchte mehr mitteilen als nur "es war toll!".
deshalb habe ich vor einiger zeit meine tage in norwegen zusammengefasst.
auf englisch. weil ich gerade so in der phase drin war.

day 1
we left dortmund at about 9.30 am and went to cologne by train.
at the airport in cologne/bonn we had a lot of time and so we started to write the first postcards to some friends (i know we are weird).
our plane started off at half past one and arived oslo two hours later. - and we had to wait about 5 hours for our next plane to ålesund. within these 5 hours we had a lot of fun by changing money, buying too expensive food and organizing amazing "trolly-rallies". it was so much fun, i can tell you!
we ran through the whole airport with that things you put your suitcases on - and i really wonder that nobody died because of an accident...
the flight to ålesund was very...strange. it was very windy and a lot of people felt sick. - but not only because of the flight. another reason why we all felt sick was definetely our excitement because of our exchangepartners. just a few minutes and we would see the people we had to stay with for one week for the first time!
...but it all worked out fine and after we met our "norwegian friends" everybody went "home".
some hours later we all met eachother again and went to ane's house and tried to get to know each other in a closer way.
marte (my exchangepartner) and me went home at about 1 am - and i was so tired, it's unbelievable...

trolly-rallies in oslo.

day 2
in the morning i went to a handballtournament with julia and sandra and we watched marte playing.
her team was really good and they actually won the 2nd prize.
- but it all took a lot of time and we just got back home at about 6 pm.
we ate some dinner, i got to know marte's boyfriend and he drove us to the bowlingcenter where we met the others. on our drive we listend to some norwegian hiphop and it was really funny.
after the bowling we went to peppe's pizza (but i didn't eat anything because of the dinner i just had one hour before) and talked about this and that. all the norwegians are so nice, it's amazing...!
marte, sandra, julia, silje, nina and me just decided to go the movies afterwards. but there was no movie at the time we arived so we went to dolly dimple's and had some ice-cream with strawberry powder.
then we went to silje and watched "freaky friday" and got home late with sandra's sister.

ålesund.

day 3
in the morning we went to school at about 8 o'clock.
there we had some "frokost" and a norwegian lesson.
marte tried to teach me something like 'how are you?' (korsn har du de?) and 'my name is...' (e hete...). but i also got to know things like 'du ser ut som en elefant' (you look like an elephant) and 'du er søt' (you are cute).
after imrpoving our norwegian we had to walk through the whole school and speak to norwegian pupils. it was kind of emberassing, but hey...
- and did i mention that there only where good-looking pupils (especially guys)? very nice, i can tell you... and i went all around the school and told things like 'du er søt!' or something.
after school we went to moa, a big shopping center. at first we ate something at mc donalds (ronald mc donald rules!), then we went to h&m and bikbok.
and my english is getting better. i start to feel at home and we have a lot of fun.
in the afternoon we went to the cinema (jeah!) and watched 'mean girls' (in english. for sure!).

preben, håkon and anders in the school cafeteria.

days 4 and 5
today it's glacier time!
we left marte's house at half past 8 and met the others in the bus up to stryn.
in the bus we had a lot of fun because everybody joked around and antje, one of the norwegians, told us that she also could speak german because she lived in germany until 4 years ago. every german was kind of shocked because we thought, she'd only speak norwegian and is a norwegian...
we arived stryn at about 1 pm and had to walk up to the glacier. it was a hard way because it was raining a lot and everybody felt uncomfortable.
at the glacier everybody got his equipment for the tour (like spikes and ice-axes) and we were able to start climbing on the ice. it was very exciting and i think everybody of us enjoyed it very much.
but, when we wanted to get down again, the guide suddenly came to me (i walked behind him) and gave me his rope. so i was the first one to go and he told me to be the guide.
i think we climbed for about two hours at least and after we got down again, we had to walk for half an hour to get back to our camp. when we arived there everybody was very exhausted and just wanted to sleep.
but at first we had to cook some dinner.
it was really nice at this camp because there were little cabins, one for about 7 people. and in these cabins we had to cook for ourselves and could to whatever we wanted to.
marte and i cooked some pasta, otherones made a barbecue.
in the evening we just sat together and talked or went around the cabins. håkan had a lot of fun by shocking other people and nearly everybody was scared of him.
at about 1 am we all went to bed and slept until 8 am. then odd (a norwegian teacher) woke us up...
we left the camp at about half past 9 and went to a museum.
it wasn't that exciting but...well. it was okay.
we got home at 3 pm and just relaxed a bit until we went to preben and watched istid (ice age).

the glacier. it may doesn't look big - ut it was huge!

day 6
we all met at the school at quarter past 8 and went to the sunnmøre museum by bus.
the museum was based on an old viking village and it was kind of interesting because you could see where the old viking houses stood and what it all looked like many many years ago.
- in the afternoon we planned to go to a lasershow all together but nobody was in the right mood so we just went to the new moa shopping center and to "ålesund city" where we bought some things like norwegian hiphop cd's (which really rule!).
after shopping eva went home with marte and me and we ate dinner together (the greatest salmon i ever ate), listened to music and just had fun. later preben caught us up and we went to ane's house where we had a little party.
- sonja, eva and me tried to teach torgeir some german by singing german songs. it was really funny because the songs where much too fast for the poor torgeir and he was a bit...confused.
(oh and by the way: i fall in love today... with ane's dog. otto. he definetely rocks!)
we went home much too late and today everybody realized that we just have one day left until we have to go home again...

marte (my exchangepartner) and ane.

day 7
today is the last day.
and everybody is so deeply sad!
in the morning we went to school like nearly every day before.
there we had to write a short essay about our trip to norway and what we had done the last days.
after our essay was finished some of us were able to have a look at a germanlesson and it was kinda cute to see some people at our age trying to speak german!
- but i have to admit that their teacher was very good and knew more about german grammar then we did.
when we left school we had to say goodbye to odd. and it was so sad because we'll never see him again, he won't come to germany in march.
he gave everyone a hug and we tried to persuade him to come to dortmund next year. but: no chance is guess...
- i also had to say goodbye to my 'mother' and my 'brother' simon because they left ålesund today for the weekend. simon went to a scout camp and marianne had to go to an advanced training.
in the afternoon julia, sandra and nina came to marte's place and we watched freaky friday. subsequently julia, nina and me went to the sea to go out on a boat trip with torgeir and håkon. and it was so amazing, you can't believe! i never had so much fun in my whole life.
torgeirs boat had about 99 horses and it was REALLY fast! - oh and did i mention that i was allowed to drive the boat as well? i think everybody was scared of me but i had...fun!
when we got home again we watched 'finding nemo' and had some dinner. afterwards sandra and julia got home to get sandra's karaoke machine and we met again at silje's place.
...so the last night had come.
we sat in silje's livingroom, all together, and sang some songs like angel or i'm like a bird.
from now on, all these songs will remind me on norway and it's amazing people. for sure!
at about 1 am torgeir drove us home again and we went to bed at once...

wolle and me sitting in torgeirs boat.

torgeir and marte while singing.

day 8
i had to get up at 9 am to pack my bags.
while i did so i just realized that i would leave today. and and made me so sad...
i just remembered the last days and with some tears in my eyes we left the house and drove to the airpot at 11 am...
when we arived the others just were there. we checked in and took some last pictures and realized that it will take half a year until we'll see each other again...

the very last picture taken...

(und allerallerherzlichsten dank für den brief und die cd, sternprinzessin! wirklich wunderbar! ich höre sie nur, die cd! danke!
