There are a collection of groups that meet on campus during the 12-1 lunch hour on most days of the week, making it quite convenient. If I didn't have a race coming up (marathon, tri, whatever) I wouldn't get out of the house to exercise. it's just that simple. Putting that date on the calendar and then challenging myself to maintain my training schedule has been what works (for me).
I realize that I'm not everybody and that different things work for different people, but I'll continue to push for my friends to at least try the running, cycling, racing thing, if only for my own selfish purposes so that we can all talk about it.
