You remind me of the time back when I was in secondary 4. When a certain person meant something to me, told me in the face that since she didn't do well for her O's, it didnt make sense that I'll do better than herself, because I'm in a worse off class compared to hers. If someone says they're not good enough for you, believe them. By saying this they're letting you know they don't feel good enough about themselves to meet you as an equal.
