So, I've been struggling to establish a circle of friends since we moved here nine months ago. The few people I've met that I wanted to get together with are usually just as busy as me, and we can't seem to align schedules, especially the parents of babies Cecily's age, with whom I'd like to have playdates ( Read more... )

Why you social butterfly! I need some of that action. Well, Frisbee scheduled for tomorrow... it's gonna be cold though.

Like I say, it's few and far between for me. This weekend was really too much, just as a lot of the rest of the time, I don't get enough social interaction. In retrospect, I shouldn't have gone to the karaoke thing - it turned out that I really didn't have anything in common with the other JET alums. I didn't even recognize any of the karaoke songs they picked. But the evening was not a total loss, as I then came home and watched a DVD episode of your favorite show with Erik.
