A pleasant surprise and a dilemma...

So, I was fidgeting around at my desk this morning as I sometimes do and (as I sometimes do - please don't ask any more) I decided I would try putting my earring through my old nose stud hole. I periodically do this to find out how much of the hole has closed up in case I ever want to repierce it ( Read more... )

Get a flesh coloured stud as a place holder for the day so you can be all punk and cool of an evening :)

well if its still open now surely you can wear one when you are not working and take it out when you are?
would a tiny silver stud be frowned upon? would you be ok in the offices but not when you see clients?
Its not likely that it will close up as its not closed up before so I would wear it when you are not working.
If you do social things with work collegues why not put it in then and see how people react?

The thing is my pa has a nose stud and I am only concerned that it might be ok for here and not for me if you get my meaning.

yes - I suppose the logic would go well like so...she is a pa it is her job to do administrative stuff. frax is the lawyer, she must look serious, inspire confidence and be able to negotiate like a badger with an iron bar."

So the trick is do I look like I could negotiate like a badge with a crowbar with a stud in my nose?

I have no printable opinions on the legal industry, but I can confirm your nose stud rocked and wouldn't be at all sad to see it return.

I was in that same situation myself a few days ago, for the same sort of reason. Only I work at home, so no-one else was able to see it ;-)

... You accidentally put an earring through your nose?

Am I the only person this hasn't happened to? (Um, yet...)

Yeah - I think I might be able to get away with it as long as I take it out for VERY IMPORTANT meetings and suchlike - I though I would raise it with the other solicitor as she is more senior than me but not my boss.
