Day 07 - Least favourite episode of your favourite TV show:

Everytime people talk about the bad BtVS episodes, all I think about is the things I like about them.  Even "I Robot, You Jane" has Giles/Jenny fun, plus that great final scene:

For me, it was so cool to see Willow going bad ass and pummeling Moloch with a fire extinguisher. It was pretty darn brave.

I feel like a not small amount of IRYJ hate has to do with the dated computer stuff. Which, I get why that's hard to take seriously, but it's not actually a valid criticism of the show. It was made in 1996! I mean I'm sure they got computer stuff wrong on top of being dated-looking to people in 2014, but tv gets computer stuff wrong pretty often without incurring as much hate as IRYJ.

When it comes to the character work or the story, it doesn't strike me as significantly worse than a lot of other early season BtVS.

I tend to dislike more the episodes from S1. But dislike is a really wrong term. I've always rewatch even the worst Buffy episodes XD

Yeah, I honestly can't use the word "dislike" for any Buffy eps. I don't think there's another show I'd say that about. Which probably speaks more to my deep love for the characters than to the high quality of every single ep, but it's still true.
