This is gorgeous, I loved it. I loved how the structure went from feeling like this is solo work and consciously cutting out support, then gradually opening up to family then friends and then drawing her real strength from that. The way you told that story through placement and movement was very clear, and I particularly liked the contrast and development from the first "don't you ever look away" segment to the next.

Also loved the speed of the cutting and the gorgeous layers/colour work. I don't know if you were around back in the day of Sweetie, Sassy Kitten, Ryan etc, but something about this vid really brought back memories of the aesthetic of that particular school.

I just finished a Buffy marathon and this vid just encapsulated everything I love about Buffy as a character! I especially appreciated how much Willow there was in it since their friendship remains one of my favorite things on the show.

WOW! A Buffy gen video from fray and i almost missed it? You know that Buffy gen vids with Buffy at the center and her relationships to the ladies are my crack, honey.

I particularly love the montage of the "fight" right after the 2:00 mark but the editing throughout this flows beautifully, as do the fades and dissolves; and the use of black and white images contrasted against color ones works wonderfully for parallels without seeming too showy.

I noticed that there's a real emphasis here on her relationships with other women of course: Dawn, Willow, but also Kendra and Joyce. I think there's a real need for vids like this and you fill it beautifully.

You've come a long way in terms of technique from your earliest vids but your love for the characters is a constant, and your lyrical style has gotten richer and deeper.

The only reason I'm commenting on LJ and not DW (where the convo is incredible) is that I'm too lazy to switch over.
