So, we are safely in Vegas. We got SO LOST last night- not getting to Vegas, really, that was relatively uneventful, but the real problem came from finding the house inside the gated community. The poker match was still going, so Allen and Melissa weren't home yet and Melissa's cell battery was too low for me to be calling asking for directions

Mapquest is your friend.

Where are you at in Las Vegas? Imo, most of Las Vegas is pretty easy to navigate (compared to most cities); it's arranged mostly in a big grid with major streets and intersections, and when you screw up you can pretty much U-turn *anywhere*, which is awesome.

And yeah, chapstick is a necessity. I've bought three different chapsticks (for car, bedroom, backpack) since I got here.

Oh, Vegas in general has been pretty easy, but the first night we stayed with Allen and Melissa, and they live in a gated community near Tropicana and Rainbow (Spanish Trails) that is seriously a maze. Now the whole family's in town for the finals and we're all staying at the Rio.

Chapstick is fantastic. It turned out that Allen's sister brought some, so we've been stealing hers;-)
