Up until very recently I didn't see the point of meeting any trek actors at all. There is a slating post from me from about a year ago on Trek BBS stating that point of view. We can never own the actors, only the characters. We must let the gods who portray them be real life human beings, who have all moved on from trek apart from the odd

I would say that you had an awesome experience that left you with a high and naturally you want it to happen again:) Like me and Italy/London/my few but awesome friends^^

I'm happy for you that you got to meet Kate:D I know too that they're not really who we ever get to see, but when I met Rupert Grint and the Phelps twin in Rome I was walking on clouds for the rest of that day (at least)! So I totally get what you're talking about:) I guess we just can't help but associate them so closely with the characters they play, we can't help but feel like we're, at least in part, meeting the character. Bar that we do meet the person who gave the character life. No one could have played Janeway exactly like Kate did, so in a way you did meet Janeway.

That went on for way longer than I'd intended, but yeah, I get it:)
