You've all been so helpful and I'm really grateful for your advice, but I have another question regarding my first coffee/drink meeting with the lady I mentioned yesterday. Should I bring anything? I would say no, not for a first meeting. I'd have been pretty leery of any guy who brought something over-the-top for the first date, much less this sort of pre-first-date thing.

Yah, bringing something might be too much on a first meeting, but definitely buy the coffee!
I went on a date once where the guy bought his coffee before I showed up (I was about 2 minutes behind him) then said "If you want a drink, you'll have to order it at the counter". I *thought* that ordering together was common courtesy, but more than anything I felt insulted that I wasn't even worth a couple of bucks.
Saying that, I'm not the kind of girl that expects to have a guy pay my way, but it's nice to be treated - especially on a first date :)
