Our teacher decided to sit and chat, and asked what drugs might be administered to the girls who were frightened by the storm.

Thorazine

No....

We're talking for immediate relief of anxiety; Something short-term.

One of the other suggestions was Valium.

I´ve had panic attacks in hot places, too. It´s not fun.
:/

I´m sorry about how rough it was for you in the gym but glad you feel positive about the exams! I admire your having the determination and courage to go back to school.

It really doesn't take courage anymore, because I'm having fun! I love my classes, and I've made friends with a couple young girls. It feels good to have young people actually seek me out to say hi and talk!

I was scared at first, but now I love it.

I'm so much happier than I was when I was just home doing "stuff". I feel like I have a purpose and that I'm accomplishing something. It's a great feeling!

I just wish that I was 20 years younger!

:)

And I'm use to panic attacks, I've been getting them since I was 15. I always have my Xanax with me, but I rarely have to use it. Just knowing that I have it makes me feel better, lol.

Even if you say it doesn´t take courage, I still think it does to a certain extent at least. GO YOU!

It´s reaffirming when younger people seek us out...in my case especially because my daughters don´t very much.

I have to jump start my life now that I´m back in Spain. But there´s so much to do around here right now that I think I need about 6 months to get organized again.

:/

Ah well...life will happen eventually.

I don't test well under the best of circumstances. I am proud of you for holding up under the pressure and making such good grades!

I never did extremely well in school because of test freeze up. I knew the stuff but it just wouldn't translate from my brain to paper on tests. I don't do well on office tests either. I took an online typing test and printed out the score when I applied for this job because I knew I wouldn't do well when they set me in that tiny room on a strnage computer. The HR lady laughed but said it was a great idea. I can type upwards of 70 to 80 wpm unstressed....otherwise it is barely 35 wpm.

I think that's a very common feeling. There are girls at school that panic whenever we have to take our weekly typing test, and they don't do well. I also score below what I normally would because of anxiety over the test.

I'm surprised I did so well yesterday considering the fact that I was having a panic attack/hot flash! I thought I was going to faint, but I was determined to finish that test, lol.

Congrats on making it through that last exam in the gym! I almost started shaking just reading your description of how you felt...I've had panic attacks so I know of what you speak...I've been a life long student and know how empowering it can be to go back to school later in life! Sounds like it's going to be a huge success for you! *hugs*

I know I'm taking classes at an old age (lol) but I feel young. I felt old when I was just sitting at home.

I'm loving this!

**hugs**
