I have the cold that almost every other student at WCTC has. Last week I sat right next to a girl that was sick, and she was so sick that she said she felt like she was dying. We have assigned seats so I couldn't move. The little devil germs crawled over to me, and now I feel like dying. I use to have an amazing immune system. Where did it go ( Read more... )

LOL at having assigned seats! Brings back memories from grammar school :)

You guys don't actually go Trick or Treating on the day of Halloween? Intersting, how different states do it differently.

Actually, all of the little communities around me have trick-or-treating at different times and days. I like it that our city always has it on weekends because it seems we get a bigger turn out and more parents are out there with the little ones.

The city two blocks away from us has it tonight. It's great for the kids because they can go 4 or 5 times, lol.

I´m sorry you feel so crappy. Those major colds are indeed close to feeling like dying.

Feel better soon!

How odd you do trick or treating on a weekend. When I was a kid it was always on the day regardless of when that fell. As I grew older, there were fewer and fewer kids because our neighborhood was aging.

CHRISTMAS???? You`re scaring me, JO!
;)
Nah...me, too. I LOVE decorating for Christmas.

((HUGS and get well!))

I have to start decorating now otherwise I'll never get done in time, lol. I have 4 times the amount of xmas decorations compared to Halloween! Everytime I run into the basement to do wash, I bring something up. That way, it gets done a little bit at a time.

I know it's rather early for xmas, but it's more about time management.

Thank you for the hugs and get well wishes!

Your immune system is probably down from all the stress. At least, that's what I'm blaming mine on. *g*

Yes, I think that's my problem. All the stress from the chaos of the last two years had finally got up with me. This year was my worst year ever regarding health!!

I think you have an amazing spirit when it comes to the bad hand life can deal. I'm trying to have the same positive outlook on things.

Knock on wood, "the cold" hasn't come through here yet.

I am getting ready for the little tricksters right now. We never have enough candy! But Tony has to go into work this evening, and he is way more generous than I am (me, the wicked witch!). So I may be ok, and I did buy a lot. I also bought some Hershey's candy kisses because believe it or not, every year we get more and more ADULTS that come around and say their kids are home sick. What kind of baloney is that? So, this year I will give them ONE Hershey's kiss, haha, because I am too intimidated to give them nothing, alas.....

We had one parent grab a candy bar out of my husbands hand yesterday! She just said "Thanks!" My husband was flabbergasted!

Then there are the adults that come to the door and they say their kids are at the end of the driveway in a wagon. These kids are babies, lol.

I guess the parents are either cheap, or they just enjoy trick or treating so much that they will go no matter what.

Sorry you have a cold, but you sound like you're not letting it get you down.

I love Christmas. It's my favorite holiday. You've inspired me. I think I'm going to start decorating early this year, a little at a time.
