All the Steve feelings! This is totally my awkward turtle version of Steve (my theory is that once Thor is gone, he's kinda the odd one out, so sometimes he ends up as Clint and Natasha's third wheel).

And he did pretty well for someone from the 40s, exactly how I'd expect him to do, given he's no slouch. :)

Awkward turtle Steve that third wheels Clint and Natasha sounds like fun! It kind of seemed to me in The Avengers like he knew Natasha already, you know? On the deck of the Helicarrier, he greeted Bruce like he was meeting him for the first time, but not Natasha. So I could see them meeting at the SHIELD gym or in the cafeteria or something right after Steve woke up, or maybe they sent her in to talk to him because she's an expert manipulator.

...and wow, that's kind of inspiring a fic idea. I'll keep that little nugget tucked away, though.

My theory is that Steve actually has a really short learning curve. Once you show him something, he's incredibly quick to pick it up, but he did need help with that initial step, you know?

Poor Steve Rogers. A 20th century boy in a 21st century espionage landscape.

(I'm constantly fixing phones in my family; Mom hands me her iPhone and just says, "Fix it" and I usually make it better, and within half an hour of my dad getting his new android phone, I had his ringtone set and everything the way he liked it. He even uses the phone sometimes! It's a miracle!)

Just wait until Clint teaches Steve how to use Google.

I love your awkward-yet-learning Steve. I haven't succumbed to an iPhone, yet, but I can sympathize as I still have to figure out all that my iPod can do!

Loved this bit: ... his shield-which, like everything else, had changed; they’d polished away the dents and dings from the war, so that even though the shield felt real and familiar and a bit like home, it too bore the sheen of this new world Steve had found himself living in ...

I talked my mom into getting an iPhone, which was a mistake. She just hates the Apple environment, I think, while I'm completely bought into the ecosystem. It was fun to look and see how Steve might perceiver the things on the screen!
