Still alive. I dropped out of Nanowrimo to take care of myself because I felt like adding additional stress to my life would only be bad and I’ve pretty much proven I can write for the rest of the year, anyway. Nanowrimo is great, but if you write year-round, it’s not much but a bunch of people trying to motivate you and telling you to write. My

I'm sorry about your health problems *hugs* I'm still hoping we can meet up at some point in the distance future. Have fun on your trips!

I wasn't expecting to like B99. Whenever I saw a preview, all I saw was how annoying Andy Samberg is, but they really play well with that, and I loooove Terry and Captain Holt. And Diaz. She hates everything.

I also mostly quit NaNo (I'm trying to write every day, but I've given up on word count). Too much stress.
And I hope to be around Missouri sometime in 2014, I'll let you know once I've updated travel plans.

I've never gotten the point of NaNoWriMo, frankly -- writing for quantity strikes me as ... well, not quite the point of the thing, and I'd rather not associate writing for fun with stress and failure. But I know some people like the motivation, it just isn't for me.
I like AoS, I just keep forgetting it's on. Seriously. I guess I just got out of the habit of watching TV or something? I may also be unpopular in that I think Melinda May should maybe lay off the world-weary routine; it's getting a bit old. (I better shut up now, before I say anything else that will make people hate me!)
Anyway, I hope you feel better soon -- a trip to see friends sounds like just the thing. Me, I have some serious professional stress in my immediate future (details available via PM only), and then that trip to India. You still need to tell me more about the kind of pashmina you have in mind! :-)

I also love Melinda! I just found out (found out by reading her wikipedia page) that Ming-na lives in my hood. So I am trying to mentally prepare myself not to fangirl out if i see her buying grocieres or something.

California and Chicago sound like fun!
Arrow -- what was Oliver thinking! And the look on Felicity's face when Isabel walked out of Oliver's room. Emily really sold that whole scene.
Weren't you watching Tomorrow People for Nice Girls? What do you think of it. I haven't managed to see it yet.

OMG, that scene. I gasped out loud. I don't ship Oliver/Felicity yet (I do in general, but his head is such a messed up space that I want him to get sorted out before he embarks on dating her), but I do really, really feel for Felicity. Also, I'm kind of excited they're bringing on a love interest for her because Oliver and Diggle are gettin' some, why shouldn't she??
I was, but I dropped it and switched over to doing Arrow recaps. Robbie Amell's voice annoyed me. :)

I'm totally with you on Oliver needing to get sorted out before dating Felicity. They really do have great chemistry and I see they show playing with all the UST for a long time too. And yes, excited to see Felicity get some lovin' too!
I ran across this fic that's a follow up to Keep Your Enemies Closer, it's pretty angsty as far as the Olicity relationship goes, but I LOVE how strong Felicity comes across in it. Link here: Lockdown
Have a great weekend!
