I just saw Elton John from the front row!
Kirsten and I helped work a concession stand on the ground level of the
concert...so we got in for free. A couple hours before it started they were
doing a sound check and needed someone who played the piano. So I went up on stage, with Elton's lights and Elton's instruments, and sat on Elton's
bench and played Elton's piano. It was so amazing. Kirsten took pictures, of
course.
Then right as they were starting we headed down to the front row. Kirsten took video
as Elton walked onto the state, literally ten feet away from us! After that I
walked down even closer, about five feet away and took pictures.
It...was...phenomenal.
The legend that is Elton John...right there.
My favorites he played were "Tiny Dancer", "Your Song", "Candle in the Wind",
"Bennie and the Jets", "I GUess That's Why They Call It The Blues", and
"Rocket Man". He is so amazing in concert, I don't even have to words to
describe it. So I won't...here's pictures and videos!!
