They had been dancing for a few hours now, but his nerves hadn’t settled any. Usopp kept asking himself how did he of all people get someone as beautiful as her to dance with him.
His hands were on her hips as she moved with the music, Nami throwing him a sly glance.
When the song ended Nami stepped back, “I’m gonna get a drink from the bar, I’ll be back.”
When she was gone Zoro and Sanji walked to where Usopp was standing.
“How did an ugly bastard like you score a dance with her?” Sanji asked, notepad in hand.
Usopp shrugged, watching Nami scribbled something on a napkin while she waited for her drink.
Zoro watched him, “just grow a pair and ask her out already.”
They thankfully went away when she came back, and they resumed dancing.
He felt her hands all over him and he was sure he heard Sanji whistling from where he was at the bar with Zoro.
After four songs she stepped away again, “listen, it was nice dancing with you. I’ll see you later, ok?”
Usopp wanted to say something, anything, but he was still in shock, even when she disappeared through the crowd.
He went to the bar, Zoro shaking his head and grinning, “didn’t ask her, did you?”
Usopp shook his head and ordered a drink, and it wasn’t until he offered to pay that he noticed his wallet was missing.
“She took it?” Sanji asked.
Zoro looked solemn, but didn’t say anything as Usopp became frantic.
“That’s why she danced with me,” he thought.
Usopp checked again, and pulled out a napkin.
‘If you want your wallet back you’ll have to call me.’
Under her message was her number.
Zoro grinned, slapping his back and told him he’ll pay.
