As the everlasting puddles begin to freeze over and I dig out my long underwear, I'm slowly beginning to realize the course of life I have embarked upon, at least for the next three years or so.  After spending the weekend with two other history majors, my worst fears and best dreams are becoming reality as I have committed myself to a college

Well had you said Sophomore or Junior year i'd think you meant it in a good way, but Senior year of high school...not so much. We all should have just had a career in Tech Theatre.
