Ever had a moment in your life that scared the holy hell out of you?

Well, Severin managed to scare me to death Sunday night.

He woke up from a nap and passed out in the bathroom.  I tried everything to get him to wake up.  I did hard Sternum rubs with no response.  I then slapped him in the face three times with no response.  I then heard him ( Read more... )

I would love him to see a doctor, but I really can't pressure him to go. He said that he was feeling OK about a hour after eating dinner and resting. He slept fine last night. I hope he is beeter today.

Oh, goodness...I hope it turns out ok. I would definitely try to get him to go if you can. It could be a sign of something more serious. :(

His mom has Sleep Apnea, so he might as well.
He said that he used to pass out a lot about 10-15 years ago, but it has happened in awhile.
I was just happy that I was there.

Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is he ok? Do you guys have any idea what happened??
I'm happy you knew what to do, I can't imagine being in a situation like that, and it sounds like you handled it perfectly.
Make sure he gets to the doctor and checked out, that sounds like something to be genuinely concerned about... :(

I think he is doing Ok today. he doesn't work on Monday's so I hope that he is relaxing.
It was really sureal to be in a scary postion like that. I managed to stay calm which really suprised me. I'm surprised that I didn't break down and cry once he was doing better.

OT - Are you going to Girl's Night Out?

Dude, I don't care about his pride or if he feels "fine"... he needs to be checked out. Spencer is stubborn about things like this too and it drives me batty.
You don't just pass out and lay on the floor unable to be woke up for several moments. Even if he doesn't want to go for himself, he should go for your sake so you know what to do if this happens again.

And yes, I'll be there tonight. :)

i would say definately get checked out. i'm a stubborn ass sometimes as well, but if nothing else it's for peace of mind for you. and he should respect that.

Why are you guys so stubborn?
I really worry about Sev sometimes. He really doesn't care about his High Blood Pressure or anything.

Joe has a story in which an older woman told him... "Men never go to the doctor until it turns green and falls off." I guess that got him to go in. Really, though. It's really good that you know how to do all that stuff. It probably helped you to stay calm. Does he know what caused it before?

Well, it is a good thing that I work in a Medical office and have some kind of clue. Severin said if it was me that passed out, he would have been clueless on what to do.

He said in the past it was due to drinking and also not eating that much. He thinks that his Blood Sugar might have been to low and that what causes him to get dizzy and pass out.
