March is here. It amazes me how fast time goes by. It is a little scary too, because it means with each day passing by, we have less and less time to do the things we want to do. We gotta be quick. Oh well... I won't talk about time today though. I want to talk about dreams. Dreams have always intrigued me. It is like watching a movie in which you ( Read more... )

dreams are very, very interesting. we've been talking about dreams/sleep disorders/sleep in general in psychology... and it's been totally interesting. There is so much information about it out there... and, really it's just amazing.

It's cool... did you know that while you are dreaming, your body is in paralysis... you can't move. Imagine what you would do if you could move during your dreams... weird stuff.

Anyway, sorry about the recurring drowning dream. That sucks. I have odd and often scary dreams myself... and when I was on lexapro, I had the best most vivid dream ever.

soooo... i've rambled. just wanted to say hi.

Feel free to ramble away whenever you want. :)

Dreams are pretty interesting indeed. It is cool that you study it a bit in your psych class. I didn't know that the body is in paralysis while we are dreaming. That's hard to believe! You mean we cannot move our body at all? I thought we could. I know the eyes move for one thing. Very interesting...

The drowning dream sucked indeed. It was scary. Like I said, I had it for a while when I was a kid. Dunno why.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with Lexapro. It sucks. :( .. I guess that kind of drugs may have such effects as they act on the nervous system, blagh.

And... I am so happy to hear that your grandpa is doing better. I know how hard it must have been for the whole family. I have been there. Hope he leaves the hospital soon and gets much better. :)

Take care and good luck with your exams!

*hugs*

yes... its true... the body cannot move at all. unless you have some sort of rare disorder. and yeah, the eyes are moving. but it does seem weird that our bodies are paralyzed while we dream. but i think its for the better. imagine some of the things we would do if we were able to move....

so people are like... well what about sleep walkers? and sleep walkers aren't dreaming when they sleepwalk. something like that. all this talk of sleep is making me wish i were still in bed...

lexapro wasn't the worst experience... like i said, it made for some cool dreams. but i had to give it up.

thanks, and thanks <3

take care

Oops! I kinda realized I might have gotten it wrong regarding Lexapro, but I thought you would correct me if I was wrong, and I was right, heh. :P ... I associated your remark on Lexapro with the previous one where you say you often have odd and scary dreams. And when you said, you had the best vivid dream while on Lexapro, I thought the best part was referring to the vividness. Blah... Now I am rambling, hehe.

As far as sleepwalking is concerned, it was on my mind when I read your comment. If we cannot move when we are dreaming, then how can people walk in their dreams? But you said they are not dreaming then. Hmmm... guess I should make a search on sleepwalking. It is pretty interesting.
