It’s cold and wet and windy, but Akihiko braves the weather anyway, because he’s desperately in need of a nicotine fix, and he’s run out of cigarettes.

This is the third time this week too, which he supposes is a bad sign. How many seventeen year olds have a twenty a day habit?

He’s meant to be up in his room studying, for university ( Read more... )

It's getting better and better.

When his graduation rolls around, he ... stays long enough to delight in the fact he’ll never have to see most of these people again
That's the spirit!

How long before his father will track him down? I was hoping Akihito would become friends with his brother.
So is this up and coming Author Akihito and what will he write about? So much of his childhood has been very devastating from having a father who shows little interest in his family a mother who stays intoxicated most days and a half brother who seams to care for Akihito but is not liked back and then being sexually used by an older man who was supposedly taking care of him. The young man has enough material to fill more than one book if he was to write about his own life-experiences. I am looking forward to see how Akihito will plan his future.
Very interesting story, sorry I missed commenting for a couple of chapters, Flu bug bit hard.
Thank you for continuing to share.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Love,
Torry

You see I love this character, because there's such room for backstory in him. All we ever get is the information that he lived in England for ten years, never got on with any of his family, never got on with anyone much in fact, and then left to be an author. So I get to play around with all the factors that could have turned him into the rather ferocious yet insecure man he grew up into. Yay! =D And, I'm pretty sure that another piece of information we were given about him was that his earlier works tending to be rather bitter and tragic, so it's almost certain he pulled on his experiences to write them.

Hope you're feeling better! *hugs*

Hee! Thanks! =D

Just imagine what the two of them could have done together if they hadn't been such a pair of stubborn gits! =D
