Some people just don’t understand the concept of a lie-in. Akihiko regrets to find that Misaki is one of them. No matter if it’s a school day, weekend or a holiday; Misaki cannot stay in bed later than eleven without becoming massively fidgety. Akihiko compensates by keeping the student up as late at night as possible.

I am so glad Akihiko realized he is loved, and he deserves that love. He has come a long way from trying to self destruct to an accomplished writer and a warm and caring young man. Much of it is due to his lover Misaki. However, Akihiko really had to want to change did he not? Someone else can only be there encourage and love.
Thank you for this inside of a very dysfunctional family and in spite of all the heartbreaks Akihiko survives and is a better man for it.
I am sorry for not always commenting. Sometimes like your characters in your story RL rears its ugly head.
Take care and keep writing.
Love,

Yup, that's exactly what I was going for. Akihiko wanted to change, but he wasn't able to do anything about it until he got help in the form of Misaki.

Hope life isn't treating you all that badly! And thank you for reading when you got the chance! =D

Thanks!
Jess

Man oh man, I loved these. It seemed like throughout the canon, all they did was hint at "oh, Usagi's a moody grouchyface because he had a 'rough childhood'". However, with what you did here, I can sure understand and sympathize with him a whole lot more. Thank you very much for that. <3

This was exactly why I wrote it! =D Because they always popped little hints in somewhere, and then never went anywhere with it at all. And there would have to be something in his background to make Usagi act like that, cause he's clearly not just a jerk - see all the painfully sad faces he pulls occasionally.

Also, 'grouchyface' is the best word ever. =D

Thanks for reading!

A great ending to a great story. I loved how you managed to convey the same feeling as the original, realistic and at times angsty, yet very sweet and heart-warming.

Thanks for sharing. I hope to read something new from you soon.
