Its context is what makes it hilarious: Eno's twitters consist of a link or two, a thank you or two, many many many gnomic utterances, and then POP! a very efficient expression of hatred.

those 'gnomic utterances' are mostly oblique strategies: they make me wish i could get twitter as texts, because they'd be fantastic popping up on your phone at unexpected moments.

I was wondering about that. Were they "official" already-on-a-card OSes (which would be pretty lazy) or were these new ones he just made up on the fly?

not sure about all of them, but some of them are definitely already-on-a-card ones, or at least "used on the osx oblique strategies widget" ones.

but yeah saying fuck off to alan mcgee is pretty much the ideal oblique strategy.
