So basically what they're saying is that the current incarnation of social media is something self-righteous aging counterculturalists, oblivious to becoming the very thing they hate, think should be the baseline standard for every single attempt at rebellion for generations to come? Man, I can't wait until 25 years from now, when we'll be buried under a the deluge of coffee table books and moon-eyed deconstructions about how LOLcats and trolling empowered the voiceless.
