So I guess I built my hopes up a little too much. I was hoping my mom would take the fact that I have a girlfriend a little better than she did. She isn't going to disown me or anything like that but...I don't know. Even if your mom is mad, she can't stay mad at you forever. You're her daughter. Generation gaps are tricky, but time builds bridges over them. She just hasn't had a chance to understand the situation yet, and people usually fear what they don't understand. Eventually she'll realize that you're still the same you, and you're just fine that way.
