Cougar Update

As reported elsewhere in ljland, it turns out it wasn't a cougar.

Too funny that they didn't ask, say, SOMEONE IN ZOOLOGY what kind of animal it is.

That would be completely silly. Also, I think they were hindered by people over-reporting the size. Savannahs aren't 4' long with a 4' tail. Once they got an actual *picture* of it, though, it's pretty easy to see that it's merely just an insanely cute kitty.

To paraphrase Arnold Schwarzenegger: "It's not a puma."

I first read this as "fat boy".

But it should be possible to just stake out a fat frat boy, right?

The markings and size of the feline do appear consistent with a type of cat called a Savannah Cat.  This is a hybrid of a Domestic Short Hair cat and a Serval, which is a larger African feline.

OMG, I want one!
