I really like how this addresses an issue I've kind of been studying. Our society "attacks" women for imperfection yet, at the same time, we women also are enemies of each other, being catty and mean. That is part of why society can diminish us as we cannot seem to come together.

I also thought you made a good point about beauty being stolen. Often some beauty is "stolen" in a way, implants, makeup etc. It's not something that can naturally happen in real life.

Your story is wonderful on its own but I love the implications of it too:)

As a sociology/feminist studies geek, I'm so pleased that somebody else recognized those threads too. Have you seen Ashley Judd's recent comments about patriarchy? That's part of what inspired this whole ranty-fairytale.

A really great ranty fairytale. ,"skin had turned cold but still glittered, and her beauty had flown out through her mouth," That line grabs me. I know what you are saying, and in this sphere, other women are the enemy. So much cruelty and evil, just because of that green colour......envy.
