Back at the Rio Almonte

I had forgotten to add these pictures from back in May. In the Rio Almonte we spotted several Spanish terrapins, sunbathing on rocks or swimming under the water.

at our terrier we have 2 turtles of Florida.
but this year there's one that died, she was 32 years old.
the one that is still with us have 33 years.

They are a long-lived group of animals. My sister found an escaped adult tortoise walking along a main road in 1978. Thirty eight years later it is still going strong.
