On September 16, I was lucky enough to go see My Chemical Romance on the HCT with the wonderful fobsessed54. It was an insanely emotional time for me and I’ll probably right another post describing the experience but it made me think about the first time I heard of MCR and why I so quickly connected with them.

I saw them in 2009 during the Projekt Revolution tour. I creepishly stood right behind Gee (we were like 3 inches apart for a good 25 minutes) during Mindless Self Indulgence's performance. He was standing in the sound booth so there was a small rope between us, too. Can I just say that he is SO TINY IN REAL LIFE jfc. Also, he had those old holey black pants on that he loved and were surely disgusting, lol. Ah, good times...
