And the place is all the better for it! How are you? You'll be knee-deep in Fringe comedy at this time of year, no doubt? (Or maybe shin-deep, as I do recall you being quite tall.)
I miss many things about living in Edinburgh, but two in particular are the buzz of the Fringe, and hog-roast rolls at the Saturday morning Farmer's Market. I don't miss slow-walking tourists, although they're a global blight.
I'm travelling and working in New Zealand at the moment. I came here in May on a working holiday visa. I'm currently based in Wellington and I have to say that so far it's proving to be very much my cup of tea.
Well hello anyway. How are things? I can't quite bring myself to abandon my LiveJournal account. Had a moment of panic when I realised last week that it might be disabled as I hadn't logged in for eons.
Hey, i'm good thanks, enjoying the nights out at the festival but not so much the trying to get anywhere through town, ahh the joys of the festival!
Otherwise, i'm getting married in March so trying to plan a wedding which is fun, but lots of things to do while trying to continue to have a functional job!
How's NZ treating you? What's your plan for the near-future?
So I deduce from that that you're still living in Edinburgh? What are you doing work-wise?
Congratulations on your engagement! I may have already known that from Facebook, but I find in these days of social media addiction that my knowledge can sometimes be channel-specific: what I know on Facebook, I only know on Facebook, if you catch my drift. Hope your wedding planning is all going smoothly.
NZ is great so far. I'm working in Wellington, and loving the city. I'm getting itchy feet to go off exploring the rest of the country, but I have to save up some money first.
Not sure yet what I'll do when/if I return. Considering applying to do an MSc in...um...something, either back in the UK or here in NZ if I can find a good course. It's all just part of my elaborate plan to avoid becoming a proper grown up :)
