Thanks! I'll be safe. As safe as one can get when they're around California drivers that is. :/

I think I can help you with that "R" sound a little bit- what the Japanese do is called a flipped R- this means flicking your tongue to the roof of your mouth while you make the r sound. It tends to sound a little more like an L than an American R, but it's really that in-between sound you're going for.

I hope this helps. I do a lot with language since I'm a singer, and by the time I'm out of school I should be able to pick up any piece of music in any common singing language and be able to sightread the music AND pronounce it perfectly.

Thank you! It helps a lot. And that is so cool that you're a (bilingual?) singer. Sounds like a blast ^_^

Not precisely bilingual, but I can pronounce different languages (mostly romantic) and I have a cursory knowledge of some languages in which I've sung. It is really fun to be a singer/ vocal performance major. :) What's your major, out of curiosity?

Well I'm kind of in between on what I want to do. I'm considering botany because plants are very fascinating and I always have a ton around me but I've always loved acting so right now it's Visual/Preforming Arts.
