[ A creepy girl, who you see from the photos, just stares and watches you freak out. You may hear a small giggle, but she mostly is content in watching you. ]

[ Her paranoia has made her so sensitive to every little sound that she jerks her head around to find the source of that small giggle. And Eva recognizes the girl from the pictures, even though she only saw the pictures just now. She doesn't drop the receiver just yet, even as she turns towards the girl in shock. ]

Who--...

[ It's honestly the only word she can get over her lips right now. ]

[ Now, her face dims from amused to overjoyed ]

Yay! Now Nena has a non-drone for a mother! [ She looks really excited, as she runs towards Eva with arms wide open for a great big hug! New momma new mommaaaaa. ]

[ Eva is honestly adding a third option to her mental list of 'What Might Be Going On Right Now': perhaps she just went completely insane from committing murder. It would explain this much.

And there is a honestly paranoia-fueled moment where she considers grabbing for her gun for self-defense, even if this is just a girl coming at her, but.. she doesn't have her gun anymore. Of course. And then she considers dodging, but out of shock and confusion she's frozen to the point she's standing now. ]

W-what are you talking about?! 'Non-drone', 'mother'? What sort of crazy thing is going on?!

B.. Battler-kun..?!

[ Yeah, she's only starting to sound more shocked at this rate. Because, you know, didn't Rudolf and Kyrie kill you as well.. DEAD PEOPLE CAN'T USE THE PHONE. ]

[ You know what? What he's saying is so ridiculous and so not reading inbetween the lines that she figures it just has to be the real Battler. Her mind would never be able to imitate that sheer lack of common sense. ]

Aren't you supposed to be dead?! Or.. don't tell me, is this really hell after all..? [ There's a possibility they lied about the bomb's time of explosion or explosion range, after all, maybe she got caught up in it somehow. ]

[And here's your other daughter, walking past Eva's room with a little blue penguin riding on her shoulder.]

...Hello?

[ ... Blue penguins. And she thought the amount of sense the day made had already gone down the drain back home. Eva stands corrected. ]

You.. were part of those pictures too.. [ She's too busy being unsure over this deal to really continue raging. ]

[Another familiar voice, and one that is also quite likely not to know who Lion is. Still, there's no harm in answering.]

Ah...please calm down. If you want an explanation, I can give you one.

[ It's true, Eva doesn't recognize Lion's voice. But at the sound of this she does try to calm down at least a bit - her taking a deep breath should be audible - even if it doesn't help much. ]

Get talking. [ Her tone isn't quite angry anymore, but more.. exhausted. ]

[May as well.]

This is a town called Mayfield. You've been taken here, as have I along with many others, though how we've been taken here still isn't known. Supposedly this place is in America, and it's some time in the 1950s. When someone is taken here, they're assigned to a house to live with several other people under the pretense that you're all family.

Something took us across time and half the planet?

[ There's a slight chuckle, but it's very hollow, bitter and sad to the point where it nearly isn't a chuckle anymore. ]

Ah, I must be having a really strange dream this time around, huh..

[ Eva can practically feel a shiver or two going up her spine, because she's so sure she recognized that voice, as brief as the sound was.

But she wasn't supposed to hear that voice anymore, she killed Kyrie. She was sure the other woman was dead, there was no way she could have survived that. ]
