Two Days to Go!

Today was my last day of work at the store. It was sort of bittersweet, but at least I'll be back at Christmas! On my way home I went through the drive-through at Starbucks (for a London Fog, of course. Mmmm.) and watched a Ferrari F430 Spyder come down the next road. In my sleepy little town of all places. I actually did a double take and thought ( Read more... )

Notes is a fun read. James at his snarkiest. :D:D:D And judging from the snippets that pippinmctaggart is posting, As You Do sounds ridiculously funny. :D

Man, I can't wait to read it. The two parts that the Times published really made me grin and even laugh out loud in parts so I can imagine it will be great! I wish I had it for the flight... how hard is it to release a book on the same day in multiple countries, anyway? Evidently too difficult, since it's not come out here yet :( Ah well, even more to look forward to when I get back!!

And regarding Ferraris, according to our drummer he saw a black one roaring through downtown Whitehorse this summer. I haven't seen it yet, but I've been spotting Jaguars (2), hordes of Mustangs, a few BMW's and Mercs, a 1957 Corvette (oh lordy is it orange!), and the Corvette ZR1 that Jeremy was driving in Utah last week. Same colour and everything. Gave me pause for a moment until I realised it would have been impossible for him to have driven from Utah to the Yukon in one night. LOL!

LOL. What a drive that would have been though. An epic race! ;)

We have a Corvette in our tiny town too, I see it quite often, and Calgary is littered with Porsches. I even saw a Ford GT in the city last week. It was a gorgeous shade of blue with those lovely white stripes that make it scream "LOOK AT ME! I'M AWESOME!" which it is :) My mom and my stepdad have BMWs and I am not a big fan, but I like the sharper look and lines of the new versions better than the older ones. My friend's mom has a convertible Mercedes SLK. Whoa. It is lovely.
