BT actually came through with their promise so we have internet! Woohoo!

Lots has been going on in the last week but it's 10am on a Saturday morning and I don't feel like going over it all because it wasn't that interesting anyway.

Oh no, certainly not. How can you forget the others? I don't understand the Watson-bumbling-idiot thing either, he certainly does not come across that way in the stories and he is a doctor, after all. I do like Nigel Bruce's portrayal of him though, if only because he and Rathbone made a fantastic team and he brought a bit of life to the character we don't learn that much about in comparison (since he's always narrating what Holmes is up to), though he, sadly, was borderline bumbling-idiot-Watson :(

I'll definitely see it as well, though Guy Ritchie is certainly not my favourite director and I generally don't like the type of films he makes. It surprises me that he signed on to do this one. I hope he at least manages to make a decent film that gives credit to the hundred years of Sherlock Holmes adaptations on stage, radio and in film.

I know a lot of people that quite like Jeremy Brett, and I can't give a very valid opinion of him at the moment since I've only caught about 20 minutes of his version of The Hound of the Baskervilles. ( ... )
