More Avoidance of Work

I missed last night's Top Gear because the union cinema was hosting a "Batman Night" and I had not seen either Batman Begins or The Dark Knight so was easily convinced to go along. Really liked both films, especially the latter. Heath Ledger absolutely made that movie and I was hit with a wave of late-coming remorse that we lost such a talented ( Read more... )

I'm still squeeing a little over last night's Top Gear. When James came out of the toilet and told Jeremy he could clean up the mess, I doubled up with laughter.

This weather is really beginning to annoy me. I had to put green wellies on this morning, just to go to Tesco.

I'm going to have to download it and watch it again, and again, and then probably again, because it was quite a good show!

The Winnebago part was truly fantastic. As was the part when James managed to drive a brand new Cadillac off the road - and when he overtook Jeremy! The more I think about it now, the more I liked it. :)

I don't have a pair of wellies, which is probably insanity on my part, but my cowboy boots tend to do the job well enough. I can't believe how badly it rained today - it's some of the worst weather I've seen in England in my two-and-a-bit years I've been here!

I have never lived this close to a Gregg's before. I have a feeling it may turn into a problem, especially with housemate's said caffeine addiction and her habit of saying "Hey Sam, I'm going for coffee, want to come?" because I generally say yes!

It truly was a road trip, wasn't it? On a very lonely road made not quite so lonely with the addition of those three.

No, lol, you didn't mention it (or not that I saw), but I'll friend you back for sure. The more the merrier! :)

The weather is truly hideous, isn't it? All the drains are blocked...be careful if you go around that corner of a certain High Street near Waitrose!!! I saw somebody get totally drenched by a passing bus ;)

I love the Fiat 500, too. So cute! But I love my Mini more...it has probably taken over from the Peugeot 107 as my second choice of car.

I am also still squeeing about last night :D That bit in the caravan - sqqqqqqqquuuuuueeeeeeeee!!

Oh man! We were up at Somerfield earlier on same certain High Street and, to quote my housemate, it was "absolutely pissing it down" (another thing, re: what English people say that we don't and I find funny). Poor person getting drenched by a bus! That must be so unpleasant!

My mom had a mini for a while. It was blue, with white racing stripes! I really liked it as well, it was the car I learned how to drive stick in (or attempted to).

I know! Richard being grumpy in bed, hair all over the place... it was great!

It happens all the time on that corner, which is why I mentioned it! I know to steer clear ;)

I love my mini. It's blue, but no racing stripes.

Haha, yes, grumpy shirtless Richard was a bit of a bonus ;)

Don't laugh, but I'm so sick of being inside I'm about to go for a run!! If you see a drowned rat about, you'll know it's me!!

Thanks for the advice, will remember that for sure ;)

I don't intend to leave my house for the rest of the day! It might actually entice me to get some work done! Don't get too soaked!!

I can't figure out the difference either, but it's there, even if it doesn't have any sort of defining qualities that we can name. Weird.

Yes, I agree, I'd have preferred this rain overnight ;) It seems to have stopped or nearly stopped for now at least - yay!
