It's a great shame a couple of marks don't go towards how much effort someone puts into a piece, it may make those who try their hardest feel a bit better.
I wish that was the case. I mean, I know people who write their essays in the morning and turn them in the same afternoon and do better than I do. I have to work really hard to get the marks I do!
Hahaha, I found myself yelling in my head this afternoon going "ARGH THIRD YEAR!" and thinking it sounded quite a bit like DT when he couldn't find third gear, which then inspired the comparison! :D
Back when I was at Loughborough, one of my flatmates (on the same course) didn't read Hamlet, wrote her essay using Sparknotes the evening before, and got a SODDING FIRST IN IT. ARGH. *stabs* I will never forgive her. Not that I'm petty about these things.
As helpful as sites like Sparknotes are, they seriously make it too easy for people to skive off actually reading the book and it makes me mad because I always do! Grr to your ex-housemate... that is so irritating when that happens!
I hope you get really good feedback and marks on your other essays, and all future ones. I still think some of the comments you got on this one (assuming it's what you mentioned on facebook) were stupid. *rolls eyes*
LOL that was the OTHER one. My dissertation tutor said my writing wasn't up to standard for this year university, and the only real praise I got from this essay was that I could write very well. :P
