Amazing how fast Ma's helicopter can get you from Newark to Cali. Trevor made a quick stop to fill the cargo hold with booze, remembering Tony's comment about not drinking anymore. He leaves it in the chopper though, unsure about who's going to be here. Ordinarily, Trev wouldn't mind letting those who were underage have a little fun with the proper supervision to keep them safe, but he plans on getting pretty tore up himself tonight. He can't look out for his family if he's gonna get to the point they need to look out for him, now can he?

Ma going of with Dad and the Doc was supposed to fix everything, put things right, but it didn't do shit. In fact, Trev would put money up that things are worse now than better.

Trevor is watching his future, his family, his entire world crumble as he's helpless to stop it. So, he's taking a cue from Uncle HB. Get shitfaced enough to forget your problems, even for just one night.

"KNOCK KNOCK!" He's still got his smoke going, and a beer in his hand when he walks in. "Anyone home?"

Trevor was lucky that Sam was near the door when he arrived. She was busy running around, getting everyone settled, trying to act like she knew what the hell she was doing as Tony's new assistant. And she'd been doing it all with the beer he'd shoved into her hand in tow.

"Hey, Trev! I didn't know you were coming!" She gave him a big hug, studying his face and not liking the sadness in his eyes.

Trevor had already been drinking on the way there, the Black Suit he'd conned into being his assistant for the night seeing that he arrives safely by landing the chopper on Tony's roof. Trevor insisted in spite of the fact the Suit telling him several times it was in fact not a heliport. Trev instructed the suit to unload the booze, leaving a few bottles of scotch for himself.

Then he heard her voice. Samantha... God, why couldn't it have been her? Why couldn't he force himself to feel at way about her, and not John.

"SAMMY!" Trevor flung his drink aside, not caring who it hit and scooped her up into a hug before spinning her around gleefully. "I missed you. Did you miss me because Iiiiiii missed you!" Trevor stumbled as he set his friend down.

"This is a party house. Better than Dad's place. Tiny's got a pool." Trevor whispered in that drunken way that is anything but a whisper. "Did you know Uncle Tiny had a pool? A pool for swimming." Trevor nodded like it was the greatest discovery mankind had ever seen. "Because he does. It ( ... )

She barely managed to set her own drink down before he picked her up and spun her around.

"Whoa, dude, what's gotten into you?" One smell of his breath and she figured it out pretty quickly.

"You're drunk already?" She tried her best not to sound disapproving, but didn't succeed. She was already looking over to where she'd have to clean up his spilled drink.

"Yes, there is a pool, but there's no way I'm letting you into it in this condition, you'll just drown and then I'll be depressed forever. Come on, let me make you some coffee." She hooked her arm in his and tried her best to lead her stumbling friend to the kitchen. Only problem was, she wasn't sure where that was.

"Scotch, duh." Trevor set Sam down with a roll of his eyes. "What. I'm not allowed to have fun in someone else's home? It's a party, Sam. We're supposed to be partying at the party."

He wrapped his arm around her, leaning in to whisper in her ear. "You're behind, Sammy. We need to get on the same..level. Or else it's no fun. You gotta loosen up." He eyed the suit unloading booze near the kitchen. "You can make me coffee, but only if you Irish it up a little." his words slurred, particularly at the word Irish.

Recently twenty-one, Sam had only really gotten drunk once, on her birthday. And though this Trevor didn't remember it, he was the one who'd gotten her drunk.

"You're gonna have to wait a while for me to catch up, it sounds like you've got quite the head start on me. Maybe if you slow down I'll have a better chance." She slid her arm around his waist, mostly to help him walk straighter.

"Why'd you start before the party anyway?"

"You're just scared I'm gonna show you up again like when we were kids," Trevor sounds regretful as he mentions their childhood. He wishes he could see the younger version of himself, for the comfort of knowing he was once innocent. "All right, All right. I'll have some coffee." He says as he flops down in a chair.

Trevor glances around the kitchen, resting his head on his hand when she ask. "Things aren't going as planned, makes me wanna forget the plan for a little while,"

"There's a plan?" She leaves him in the chair and starts searching through the kitchen cabinets for coffee and filters for the coffee maker. Finally finding what she needs, she gets out a spoon and starts ladling the grinds into the maker.

"I thought us coming back in time like this has changed everything. How can there even be a plan any more, when everything we do alters the course of history?"

"I don't even know anymore," Trevor says, looking and sounding beaten down as he watches Sam make coffee.

"It does, but I don't think Dad intended it to take this long. I think that's why he stepped in with Mom." If Sam is aware Trevor failed in his duty to get Liz on the right track, he doesn't know.

"Wait, what? I thought Jack was still a prisoner. How could he step in?" Sammy felt really out of the loop, she'd been so focused on helping Luke lately.

She got the coffee going, then sat down beside him, taking his hand. He looked so forlorn, she could hardly stand it.

"Tell me what's going on. Let me help."

Oh, that's right! Sam wasn't part of the group sent in to steer her parents right. As per usual the Myers' are right where they need to be, as reliable and fearless as ever. Trevor is grateful for that, just as he knows his father and mother are as well.

He knows Samantha too well, even when he's drunk off his ass. "Never mind, Sam. It's complicated. You'll just worry.

"Like I'm not gonna be anyway, now that I know something's going wrong? Dammit, Trevor, I'm not a kid here! I'm a college graduate, I'm training to be an agent, and I'm almost as old as you!"

Her whole life she'd felt underestimated, and nearly ignored, by the Harkness twins. When they were little they'd said she was just a girl. Then they'd said she was just a silly teenager. Even though they'd resolved her years of unrequited crush, part of her still resented Trevor for rejecting her, even though she felt the same lack of spark.

"You tell me what's going on, or I'm going to get so drunk I puke all over you!"

She was aware it was the dumbest threat ever, but it was the only one she could think of.

"You're worse than your Ma and my Ma put together sometimes." Trevor huffs at her threat. He's confident am will pass out before she gets to the vomiting portion of the festivities.

"I know you're not a kid, but neither am I. If I'm old enough to nearly get gutted when someone wants to use me as a bargaining chip, I'm old enough to have a few secrets, aren't I?"

"First of all, I am nothing like my mother." Every guy should know that telling a girl she's like her mom is the worst insult possible.

"Second, what happened to you had nothing to do with your age, and everything to do with who you're related to. I'm sure those bastards would have taken you no matter what age you were." She rose and went back to the coffee maker. This conversation was not helping her mood. She was starting to think she could do with a little Irish in her coffee too.

"Can we not talk about that please? I still feel guilty."

Trevor's drunk, he can't not of insults, be it to his best childhood friend or anyone else. "Sounds like something your mom would say."

The thought of the younger version of himself getting taking in his place makes Trevor sick, and it's got nothing to do with the alcohol. "Ma and Dad were watching both of us, the little ones to close for them to get them. Me...I got sloppy. It was just what they needed to get to Dad."

Trevor will not allow Sam to take the blame for this. He knows as well as anyone those charms are not bulletproof.

Finally the coffee was brewed, and she poured two cups. "I know what they did to you was bad. Really bad." She'd seen him before Monty had healed him. It had broken her heart.

She carried the cups over, handing him one, and sat back down next to him. "Is that why you're drinking like this? To forget?"
