I agree with Adi on this whole thing. She is seeking reassurance and is doing it in a public forum. I wouldn't worry about your over lapping friends, if they are your friends they will ask for your side of the story and if they don't, then they aren't your friends.
I would just let it be, be the bigger person (like you have been). I know it's hard not to want to shoot back with what you want to say, but in this case it really isn't worth it.

I think she's truly made herself believe that she didn't take the money, when it's SO clear that she did (I'm even more convinced now by how she totally changed her story! And I don't care what you're expecting in the mail, how do you not notice that something is addressed to a completely different name??!)

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this ridiculous immaturity. However, I would be willing to bet that she has a history of acting like this and people who know her well probably can see through it. Hopefully, anyway. Does Chris treat you ok or has he been sucked into her bullshit?

Oh to answer your question, Chris and I hang out often, with Jarrod of course. He's always really cool to me. I guess he has no problem with me but he does think I should have paid Courtney the full amount of the money. He is still dating her so he's obviously completely blind to her evil and manipulative ways... Jarrod thinks Chris doesn't really like her, he just stays with her for some reason.

Chris is a good guy. It's a shame he's with such a psycho....

blegh. this sucks! i agree with everyone else though, you are absolutely doing the right thing in not responding. she is just making herself seem foolish, and anyone who's a real friend will ask you for the story. so don't worry! you are the bigger man in all of this! :)
