Why is it that every year you get older things just get less fun? I mean. I was all super excited about Halloween. I told myself we weren't going to stay home. I bought little bits of pieces to put together a costume and then didn't end up doing a fucking thing. A few of my co-workers were going to the parade in Hollywood and I would rather not

Same thing happened to me sort of. I planned my costume for months. I had to go to multiple stores to get the supplies (craft and hardware,) and I never even made it because I didn't have anywhere to go. I ended up joining my sister in taking my nephews trick-or-treating and then went to watch The Happening with a friend and 3 strangers. Wow. We are adults.... or something. This is the first year ever that I didn't dress up.

getting older doesn't necessarily mean things are less fun. yes we get tired easier, we tend to not wanna get up and do things at times, but it isn't the fact that we are older, it's just our own mentality. (no worries I get like that all the time and hello?! I am so much older then you are :P).

Sorry to hear that your night was a downer. How about next year you throw a halloween party, that way you know for sure you'll be doing something :)

I really do feel like that though. It's like I keep getting excited for events/holidays and then it just ends up letting me down. I did throw a Halloween Party last year and bought these cool hand-made decorations and decked the house out and my sister made me this really awesome Halloween Soundtrack and no one came. Very few people anyway and most of them left when they realized no one else was coming. It was the same with my birthday last year. Oh well. I just feel like now that you're older people don't care as much anymore.

I was just in a bad mood last night when I posted this... that's where the bitterness comes from. C'est la vie..

Awww sweets, age has nothing to do with it! My friends & I are all a few years older than you & we just seem to get more & more into Halloween every year! Next time you'll just have to make plans in advance so you KNOW what you'll be doing. There's a lot of fun to be had out there in LA! Although the parking is definitely something I do not miss.
