aflksjf such a late reply but i had to stop by again to tell you to read sound and the fury. it's really difficult and i had to have somebody hold my hand when i was inching my way through it but oh man, one of the best books i've ever read in my life. it really influenced my writing style too.
AND START OFF WITH DUBLINERS FOR JAMES JOYCE! they're short stories and i think you'll be able to gauge what his style is like in smaller chunks to start off with so you're not hit with massive symbolism all at once hahah
I loooooove Tess of the D'Urbervilles. The Great Gatsby, The Three Musketeers, The Count of Monte Cristo, if you haven't read them yet; for something that's not a classic, definitely The Kite Runner or The Time Traveller's Wife. Oh, and I love Jane Eyre :')
